Providers are “required” (this is the key word) to bill any procedure done during a well visit which would include an “office visit”.  Anything outside the scope of a well child exam a provider is “required” to bill the office visit. Especially if a prescription was written and treatment was reviewed.  Another option to think about would be to waive any copays or deductible amounts for upset parents
